Sheepoll’s Opinion Trivia opens a new platform for performers to practice their craft and develop their improv hosting skills, all whilst getting paid.
WHAT MAKES A GOOD SHEEPOLLOPINION TRIVIA
You’re inquisitive, yet irreverent. Social, yet cynical. Happy-go-lucky, yet know when to seize the moment. You prepare some material, yet you allow each show to take it’s own course. You’re good at making absurd connections and love making callbacks. You are likeable and create a safe forum to discuss anything. You like to push the boundaries, but also know when to toe the line.
HOW DO I BECOME A SHEEPOLL OPINION TRIVIA HOST?
We are currently looking for weekly hosts in Brisbane for our pub and baaa shows, a team of talent for our online, live-streamed show and comedic guests for our Comedy Festival show.
If you would like to audition for any of these roles, please fill out the form below.
Because the format of the show is quite unique, we recommend you come and watch our beta show at Saccharomyces Beer Cafe before you audition. It's on every Sunday at 6pm.
Auditions will require a screen-test and/or performing alongside other auditionees, giving you a chance to show-off your interactive and improvisational skills.
Renumeration will be determined on how well you do at the audition, your level of experience and the role(s) you are auditioning for. Experienced hosts that nail the audition can expect $150 to $200 for a weekly pub show.
If you have an ABN, own have a laptop, PA and microphone, then you can apply to be an independent rep and earn even more money per show. Get in touch and ask us how.
“A Q&A session where the audience explore our modern-day morals with confronting questions posed to a local comedian and his musical sidekick in the most absurd game show in Brisbane.”
“It is a hybrid of performance and audience interaction with a splash of game show.”
“The masterminds behind Quiz Meisters and hailed trivia kings have gone against the grain and instead devised an ‘anti-trivia’ game show: for those with apprehensions about right and wrong answers.”
“Anti-trivia is the new trivia!”
“Useless, perhaps, yet thought provoking and undeniably amusing.”
“Move over Q&A, there’s a new opinion focused show in town.”
